Privacy Policy for Mono

I built Mono because I wanted a better way to organise my own video collection without compromising my privacy. Mono works with your data to do its job, but it never tracks you, profiles you, or sends anything off your machine.

1. No Data Leaves Your Machine

Mono is a local-only application. No cloud, no backend server, and no "phone home" feature. Your sources, library, your watch history, and your tags live exclusively on your computer in a private SQLite database.

2. Access to Your Files

For you to organise and watch your videos, Mono needs permission to read the folders you explicitly import.

• What it can access: The specific folders and video files you choose to add to the library.
• What it can't access: The rest of your hard drive.

3. Metadata and Storage

Any information you add to the app (e.g. playlists, history, and so on) is stored in a private SQLite database file located on your computer. You have full control over this file; if you delete the app or the database file, all that metadata is permanently erased from your machine.

4. Third-Party Services

I do not use tracking pixels, analytics software, or third-party advertising services (not even a cookie).

5. Updates

Because I don't collect your email address or personal contact information, I can't contact you directly regarding updates. Please check monoapp.uk periodically for the latest version of the application.
